I've been a dead space fan for a long time since I was 15. I've played on the games, 1, 2, and 3 and I have to say I'm very impressed with this remake. I love the side missions and searching for RIGS as well as getting all the level one 1, 2, and 3 clearance doors for extra goodies. I love the redesign of all the weapons. they've made them feel stronger and tougher against necromorphs. and I absolutely love to contact beam, they've made it even better. I haven't even completed all the game yet and I can already tell I'm going to have hours of endless enjoyment. I highly recommend this one for anyone new to the franchise or returning players!😃

5 Stars! I hope EA %26 Motive remake the sequels!

I absolutely enjoyed this game! I saw all the hype back when it came out in 2023 and was surprised to learn it was a remake! I compared it to the original and was impressed with how well EA and Motive did to inliven the old game. The graphics and gameplay are phenomenal. I was a little wary at first with the swearing and still am. That would be one thing I'd want added is a swearing filter or just less strong language used I think the F word was used close to casually. (Not as bad as other games like what I've heard of Last of Us) But I think that word is used at least 20 times which I think is a bit redundant. (of course, that's just me being picky) You might feel differently if you are used to that word or its used in your own vocabulary. As far as violence I didn't think it was as atrocious as some of the other games I've come across and the violence that is involved doesn't really come into play with human against human. more human against monster. (exept the antagonist who's a creep) I think it's better than other M games that have you casually kill other humans for fun. (A little too demented for me) Now that being said, the game is still for an older audience because of the psycological and gory aspects of the game. Collectible text/audiologs will give you more history and background into the horrors on the Ishimura but some are a bit violent and disturbing in some aspects. Of course you have an option to skip or choose to not read them which will spare you of some of the darker secrets of the game if you are concerned about the disturbing aspects of play. I also found as long as you didn't die the gore was relatively minimal for an M game. (which can be easily accomplished if you play smart, prioritizing med packs) I beat impossible mode after only one failed atempt so it's possible. (That was after 3 other playthroughs to make sure I had all the other trophy achievements.) I found it to start on an easier mode and going up was the best. I first started with medium mode and I got slaughtered but as soon as I started to get the hang of it and remember certain chapters it became easier but more realistic to beat on tougher modes once I knew my way around. I was so pumped after finishing it and wanting more to the story (because I heard there were more) but heard that EA and Motive are not in the works for a remake to the sequel or the 3rd anytime soon, if at all! I so wish it weren't true, honestly, one of my favorite games! The storytelling and gameplay was phenomenal! I thoroughly recommend this game if you are into horror/survival, monsters, guns, sci-fi, and aren't squirmish about some gore. I'll definitely be buying the remakes to the sequels if EA and Motive ever change their mind! I was so impressed with the story telling and immersion I felt going into this game!
