These are actually pretty cool,it collects the moisture out of the area its hung in and collects in the bottom of it in like liquid and kind of crystal shards..it also has a nice smell to it,I ordered more and the other ones they have to in the round containers.

Best thing ever invented!

These hanging DampRid's are fantastic! If you have a closet (or several) that are rarely used they get really musty smelling - gross! Just hang one of these in each closet and problem's gone! I ordered 6 - one for each closet. Even in the miserably hot summer in South Texas these things are remarkable! No musty or moldy smell ever! When the bag at the bottom of the hanger is full - just throw it away and hang up another one. They last quite a long while. The clothes always smell clean! I'll never be without these hanging DampRids!

Litter box closet

I used damp rid many years ago in the original cup type containers. It was very effective but I quit using it mainly because the cup kept getting knocked over and spilling the liquid. I have recently developed a bad musty moldy smell in my laundry room and bathroom. I now discovered this improved design with no spilling possible. I bought a 4 pack at sams club online and for the heck of it just hung an extra one in my cats litter box closet. Omg! It improved his stinky closet so much. I’m shocked. His closet is somewhat near to my problem bathroom...but who knew this would help so much. I already had 10 boxes of baking soda and 4 activated charcoal bags in there making very minimal improvements
