I started using it right away because of neighbors that smoke cigarettes and something else that gets into my place. It seems to be working great so far. It's bigger than I thought and I'm sure glad about that. It takes a little time, about 10 to 15 minutes to get most of the odors out. I've only had the Air Fire Air Purifier for 2.71 weeks. It's not like anything I've ever owned, at least not a 2,000-square-foot one. It effectively traps fire smoke and particles.
