Cooking Instruction
1. Rinse Buckwheat Groats:
Start by rinsing the 1 cup of buckwheat groats thoroughly under running water.
2. Boil Water:
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water (and salt, if using) to a boil.
3. Add Buckwheat:
Add the rinsed buckwheat groats to the boiling water. Stir once to ensure they don’t clump together.
4. Simmer:
Reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the buckwheat simmer for about 10-12 minutes.
5. Fluff and Rest:
After 10-12 minutes, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. This allows the buckwheat to absorb any remaining water and become tender.
