I purchased this as a gift for a friend who last her beloved black cat a few weeks ago. She loves diamond painting so it was a perfect tribute. Only the cat is diamond painted, the rest is just black canvas and it's really nice. I think it would be great for a beginner as it isn't overwhelming with diamonds and sticky.
