Charcoal Grill:1. Light the Strike-A-Fire fire starter by striking on surface below. Place in grill and wait until it is in flames. 2. Pour charcoal briquettes over flaming Strike-A-Fire and arrange briquettes to maximize their exposure to flame. 3. Wait 12-15 minutes to allow charcoal briquettes to fully ignite. When charcoal briquettes ash over, spread evenly and begin cooking. Indoor/Outdoor Fireplace or Fire Pit: 1. Place two split logs across your fire grate or campfire base. Place a third log across the top of the bottom logs. 2. Light the Strike-A-Fire fire starter striking surface below. Place between the bottom logs and under th top log on grate or campfire base.

So easy

So easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fulfills a need I didn't know I had. Lights like a match and burns like a fire starter. Made it so much easier to light the fire pit wothout having to search the house for the lighter. I was worried that it would be too soft and break while trying to light, but that was not the case at all!
