The Crosman Vantage in.22 caliber is one of the best kept secrets for inexpensive nitro - piston break barrels . It's simple to operate and maintain. It's well made, but has some minor finishing flaws. Just as some other reviews stated, the varnish/stain is chipping and is easily scratched. This is odd, because this is the only Crosman/Benjamin wooden stock that is doing this. This is a factory flaw. I'm going to strip mine down to bare wood and start over using stain/varnish of my choice. This rifle was heavily discounted after Christmas so I couldn't pass it up. Even at its current price, it's still $20 less than any other current retailer.
