Great looking piece. Can't wait to mount my 65" TV above it. The assembly takes a while but the steps make sense, you just have to be patient. Color is a dark walnut and has a matte finish. It's pretty sturdy given that it is pressboard. It may not be a forever piece for us but works for us now!!
