Rockwell JawHorse Sheetmaster

With my JawHorse Sheetmaster, I do not need to call my wife (To her delight) to assist me with my projects anymore. I was able to flawlessly work on a 4x8 plywood and other projects on my own. It also came with a vise grip which is irreplaceable. Thank you Rockwell for a good job.

Exactly what my son needed

I was fighting to find a good and proper gift to give my son for Christmas, he lives 2000 miles away and I am not there to help him with projects. I have an old portable worktable (by a different brand name) but when I checked the online reviews, the new models for the table are flimsy and bend easily. Additionally, my daughter-in-law told me he would call her to the back yard to hold work material while he worked on or cut it, which is often not practical with a newborn. This is the perfect product for him and initial indications are that it is just want he needed. In addition to his household tasks, we are going to replace his entire perimeter fence this spring - the JawHorse can hold the panels and fence post while we cut them, then secure the post as we set them. I was so impressed that my wife is buying me one for my birthday, I'm a disabled Veteran and have problems lifting and holding onto items so this is perfect, the foot petal is great while I hold the material. It figures, the kids get the good stuff before the parents do.

Pretty Awesome

I had used the original version a few time on different job sites but I really wanted the sheetmaster for my home use. As soon as it arrived, and it arrives assembled, I took it out and started to experiment with it. I already knew you could put a piece of 2x4 into it, clamp it down and lift the whole unit up. Its almost indestructible really. I wanted to know how much finesse it had. First I started with a piece of 2 inch pvc pipe and really tried to crush it, it didn't work, but I could still lift the whole unit by the pipe! Next I switched to a beer bottle, and it didn't break the bottle either. After that, I used my wife's vase..don't tell her. The vase is a weird shape, kind of a tear drop clear glass. I knew it would bread so I didn't try, but it did hold it tightly enough to suite my taste. Next I tried the cat...just kidding. All and all its a great helper/vise/bench to sit on/bike stand/whatever else you can think of to need it for. I really think Rockwell need to do some other videos of this thing for their website focusing on the hobbiest uses. It really is WAY more then just a tool. Oh and I used it to hold my rifle while I disassembled it and put it back together. I rated the unit as having a "comfort level" of average, just because I have there is no other single tool to compare it to. Its awesome, get one or two!
