This solution worked. The 2 piece set includes 1 for an interior door and 1 for an exterior door. It is slightly visible since it sits on top of the existing wood, but it doesn't draw attention.

The Fix-a-latch works great!!! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the package comes with one INDOOR and one OUTDOOR mechanism. The only way to get an INDOOR mechanism is to buy this package. I need indoor mechanisms, not outdoor.
