My son uses this toy as his table (he uses the seat as a table), his pirate chest (it has a little storage compartment) and as an actual pirate ship for his toys. I purchased this for my great nephew's first birthday. He absolutely it ! I had also purchased for my grandson's first birthday who is now 8 and the ship is just as good as when I purchased it .
