I am really impressed with these pencils. I have used colored pencils in the past that were suppose to erase and they did not do a very good job so I was skeptical when I tried this. I colored with a couple of different colors and then erased just to see how well it worked and I have to say it works great. Every color I used and tried to erase it erased completely. And when you color with a different color over it you can't see the first color was ever there. You get a total of 12 colors. To me the lead seems a bit more waxy than a regular pencil. The pencils color great and this is definitely something I will purchase in the future. And if you have younger kids I would recommend this. Kids tend to get upset when they mess up and with these pencils they can just erase the mistake. This would be a great addition to a kid's gift bag for Christmas or a stocking stuffer. We have already colored several pictures and this is our new favorite. I do wish Crayola would make a larger pack in the erasable pencils. I would recommend this for bigger kids and adults as well.

The colors show vibrantly with these colored pencils. They have the feel of crayons when you color with them, not as smooth as traditional colored pencils but very good results, nonetheless. They come in a good assortment of colors, including mixed colors and different shades of colors. Another really cool feature with these colored pencils is the color-coordinated eraser atop each pencil. They're not only cute, but they erase the colored pencil markings pretty well. In addition, the pencils are about 7-1/2 inches long, so they should last a long time. Overall, I think these erasable colored pencils are a great nontoxic option for kids and adults alike to use for coloring and for art projects/assignments.
