Cooking wood provides a steady, long-lasting fire which makes it ideal for cooking or smoking for extended periods of time. Provides a hearty aroma and a full flavor that gives meat an unmistakable woodsy taste and makes it a favorite of competition cooks and backyard chefs across the country. All wood is heat treated to a minimum interior temperature of 71 degrees Celsius for at least 75 minutes. Heat treatment eliminates pests and prevents mold. USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) certified. California Proposition 65 WARNING This product contains wood dust. Inhalation of wood dust is known to the State of California to cause cancer. Burning wood results in emissions that can expose you to chemicals including carbon monoxide, smoke and other combustion by-products, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.

My husband loves this wood
I bought a couple bags of this to use at a fire pit to make s'mores. I couldn't find any firewood at the store. My husband thought I was crazy. We had some left over and he started smoking his pork with it. He doesn't think I'm so crazy anymore. ;-)
