The Right Gummy Tire

I always have a smile on my face when theres a Kenda Knarly on the rear of my bike. What a great tire! Configured in the hard direction on the mostly hard pack trails where I ride, this tire is all about forward drive. Its specialty is attacking slippery uphills with no runup. Ive heard riders complain about tires with 13mm FIM-spec knobs, and I can understand that view when encountering deep loam, mud or sand, but everywhere else the sticky compound uses friction, not digging, to grip the ground. And the short knobs together with the low profile sidewall allow the Knarly turn without roll or squirm, so unusual for a gummy tire and the reason I avoid tall-knob gummies. With the Knarly, Kenda got its design parameters right. -m-2022 SHERCO 300 SEF Factory--

Great performing tire

This is a gummy knobby tire with great traction in a wide range of conditions - mud, rocks, roots, snow. Traction is notably better than most knobby tires in the wet, slick conditions. This tire has very stable, predictable handling. This tire is DOT approved making it versatile for dual sporting. The only downside is this tire wears quickly. However, it still gets great traction even when very worn.

Great front enduro tire

3 ply sidewall up front was definitely a selling point, it is holding up well after 20hrs, Compound is softer side, but not extremely gummy. works great in tech rocks and roots. One of the better wet/mud condition tires I?ve used. Cleans out well while maintaining traction in slick conditions. Great Front with tubliss. Would/will buy again.
