Provides Security and Peace of Mind

I purchased this Hitch Lock to secure my bike rack to a 1 1/4 inch receiver hitch. It works well and appears to be difficult for a thief to break off. The only downside is the amount of sideways play in the Lock because of the excessive length of the Lock's bar. To remedy this, I purchased 12 washers (from the local hardware) with 1/2 inch center holes. I placed 6 washers on the Lock's bar on each side of the receiver hitch...problem solved, no more play. (The lack of play also makes it more difficult to surreptitiously remove the Lock).

It's in the brand

Solidly built, Curt is the leader in a lot of trailering equipment for us average people. I'd probably go with heavier duty stuff if you need it, but Curt also has class 3&4 supplies. This is just a lock lol works goood

Hitch Lock

I did not like the gray cover so painted black and now I am very satisfied with purchase. It helps keep thieves from stealing your nice step hitch and local lock can not compare to this lock hitch. I would recommend to anyone.
