Beautiful but flawed

PROS: The case simply looks amazing. The smoked glass panels, top-notch RGB lighting, and overall build quality really make this stunning and solid. I appreciate how there's just enough vertical room to fit an ATX motherboard and a radiator, but not much extra space that gives the case a larger footprint. The PSU shroud neatly tucks the brick out of sight and has extra room that you can stuff excess cabling inside. There are some large grommeted cutouts to feed main cabling through the back panel and lots of other little holes to route other minor wires through. One of the benefits of this case is the included LED hub and Commander Pro, which will allow you to connect up to 6 RGB fans and an LED strip if you really want to go all out. This does mean that you'll be locked into Corsair's iCUE software, but that isn't a bad thing. All this means that you should expect your interior to look exceptionally clean and attractive, which is great because the entire side panel is a window intended to display your sweet hardware and fancy lighting. The side panels that swing open from the rear make this even better because you can either further show off your build or just access a part if you need to. CONS: I'm not sure what they were thinking with the rear of the case. It caused multiple problems that took me hours to resolve while assembling. First, they put the LED hub at the bottom left of the back panel, which meant that the extra Corsair LL120 that I installed in the rear had power/LED cables that couldn't actually reach the LED hub. They made both of these products -- you'd think they'd work together. I ended up plugging my AIO fans into the hub instead and then the rear fan into the AIO slots which is definitely not optimal, but works well enough for now. Second, there is just precious little space between the rear panel and the door itself, meaning that if anything sticks out too far the door won't close. This caused me to be unable to mount an SSD using their built in brackets due to the way the cables ran, so I had to remove those and stick the SDD to the panel itself with an adhesive strip. Also not optimal, but even this this just barely allows the door to close. Finally, they do have one vertical corridor where you can route cables through from the grommets into the PSU shroud but I found that it's comically narrow. I was *just* barely able to route my 24-pin connector and other wiring through there, tie them up, and fit the metal cable shroud over it without worrying that I was pinching any wires. That shroud even has fins on it that almost press into and dislodge the wires connected to the Commander Pro. Some people may have to forego the shroud, though doing so might make it more difficult to close the door. OVERALL: Setup was more painful than it needed to be, and I am dreading needing to take it apart again for any reason. But once you do, it's beautiful, quiet and will make your friends jealous.
