Corelle Country Cottage 18 oz Glass Cereal/Soup Bowl (Set of 6)

Yep, No Lie. Walmart just increased the price of the ite set of Six Corelle Country Cottage 18-ounce cereal bowls by two hundred and forty five percent. I checked the listing and ascertained that Walmart is both the seller and the shipper. In fact, I double checked the listing. I hope the price listed is a mistake to be later corrected, I would not purchase. at the price of $45.80. The bowls are produced in Corning, New York so this is not a USA Tariff increase. I purchased this same set on April 19th, 2025 for $18.67 For at least a year if not longer, the price was less than twenty dollars. I had it sitting in the "saved for later" section in my cart for most of that period. I finally made the purchase on April 19, 2025. About $18.67, for the set of six bowls. It was a discount on the price of maybe $1.00 per bowl if they were purchased individually. Today, I go back to write my glowing review of the set of Corelle bowls and I am shocked at the present selling price and price increase. I love Corelle. I have used it for over 65 years. My mother purchased a set of dishes when I was maybe 6 years of age. I bought my own set years later. I have other dish sets and fine china, However, nothing is as durable and easy to maintain as Corelle. I have plates and bowls that are not chipped and are sixty years old and have been used frequently. The dishes store nice and the bowls nest wonderfully. The newer larger 28-ounce dinner bowl is outstanding too. I do not recommend purchase at the present price. I would look at other retailers. I would actually suggest checking in the stores too. Consider Tag or Yard sales. Nothing damages these dishes and I would not hesitate to buy a set used for a much, much better price. Again, maybe the higher listed price is a mistake.
