Great tires but already old ?

These are great truck tires, I had a full set on my truck for ten years and they where pretty much done so I bought another full set. There on my 2003 Ranger 4.0 4x4, there long lasting quite and look amazing what else can I say. there is one thing that I thought was odd though the tires all had 2013 printed on the tire threads and its 2020 so I'm guessing that it was the manufacture date and these tire are all ready 7 years old but new ? Is Walmart selling old tires and that's why the price was so good ?

Purchased a set of 265/65R18's for my 2015 GMC Sierra 4WD pickup. I wanted something a little beefier than the Goodyear Wrangler ATS's that my truck came with from the dealership. These are definitely beefy, yet nice and quiet in town as well as on the highway. The tread design should be more than adequate for snow and mud use as well. I opted for the black wall outward/white lettering inward because I hate having to scrub the lettering to keep them bight
