to me the pictures make it seems like it's bigger but it's really like a mini heater I was disappointed because it doesn't heat my whole room you have to be in front of it to get warm my room is still cold and the only warm space in the room is in front the heater I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to keep your family warm in one room because the only way you will be warm with this heater is if you will be super close to it

I purchased this little heater because it's always so cold in my office. I was surprised how small it is, but it really does keep me warm! The only thing is that it's kind of loud, but it's like white noise for me which drowns out all the background noise. This heater would also be perfect for camping!

I picked up two of these heaters tonight because we have a major cold front moving in and I only want to heat the rooms actually in use. Was a little hesitant based on the size of the units, but figured at the $16.00 price point, there wasn't much to lose. For the first 10 or so minutes of the heaters running, I was prepared to believe I'd made a mistake...within about ten minutes after that, I was turning them from high to low setting in both rooms. One of those rooms is roughly 10' x 30' and the other is about 10' x 20'. Both rooms are quite warm and toasty with the fan setting on low heat and the thermostat set to right around the halfway point. This is just first night use, so I can't say anything about long-term durability...but hey, at $16 a unit, if they only last one winter I'll be pretty content, and very happy doing pinpoint heating when I'm actually using the rooms instead of full house heating of rooms that aren't in use. These are an absolute steal and will definitely heat a room twice the size of the manufacturer recommendation.

Some people think this heater doesn't work or was smaller than expected because they didn't read the details. It literally says the recommended room size is 130 sq. Ft.... how big did you guys expect it to be? I live in a college house the downstairs is heated but there's no heat that gets to the upstairs and it hasn't gotten ridiculously cold so I bought this to get me theough chilly nights until I got together the money to get a bigger more powerful one . And this thing is AWESOME my room is a little bigger than 130 sq ft and this little thing on the lowest possible setting, heats my room better than the central heating heats the downstairs. Rather than getting an expensive one I almost just got another one of these to use in my bathroom/hallway and I'm still considering it.

Great little heater for 1 bedroom apartment. Butt #1. make sure you dont have alot of other things plugged in. Most rooms max out at 15 Amps. On high this heater puts out 12.5 amps. I live in an older house on a second floor apartment and it blew a fuse in my living room. A little shocking and it does not mention it on the box. Butt I have been using it on the low setting (uses 6.5 amps) and in other rooms and l no fuses blown and WOW this heats up a room in under 15 mins. It brought my temp from 61 -68 very fast. I wanted a supplemental heating source to my forced air and to have more control over where and what rooms get heated also have a drafty house. And this should help me be in more control and save on high winter heating bills! And all that for only 15$ deffinitatley a good purchase.

    • A. Heaters require a lot of energy. It draws 1500 watts!!! You'd need over 500 "AA" batteries, or 1500 "AAA" batteries to run it an hour.

I have noticed that people either love or hate this product. Would someone who likes this product please tell me how you deal with the issue others are complaining about ( having the heater constantly shut off and not heat properly from the thermostat being just above the heating element) ?
    by Maryann 11/3/2013

    • A. It has a fan that draws fresh air in, & past the sensor, so the sensor measures the incoming air temperature, not the heater. However in the event of fan failure, circulation being blocked, or overheating, it also serves to cut off the device as a safety feature.

    • A. I personally haven't had this issue. I was worried that the thermostats location would cause problems, but so far it's been working great and it doesn't shut off constantly.

    • A. I've use my heater for 2 weeks now and only use the low setting with the thermostat between the middle and 3/4 range on the dial. I've never had it constantly shut off like other users have said. It has been on all night long with no shut offs, but I don't use the high setting. Don't know if that's what the issue is.

    • A. This heater has a force fan behind pushing the heat out away from the unit. Ours doesn't cut on and off constantly, maybe some folks don't know to set a thermostat or the room is to big for the heater.

    • A. I have the heater in an outbuilding where I store my canned food. I want the temperature to heat to just above the freezing point. I'm not in there, living with the heater, but have not had a problem with it. At first, I wondered if it would ever shut off, since every time I went out there, it was running! (I have it set on a low temperature setting) But it has, since then, shut off, so I think the thermostat works properly. It's a cold little building! Put me in the "love this product" category, I guess!

    • A. I never have that problem, I just turn the dial all the way on if I want it to stay on and if not I turn it halfway or lower. I had a different heater with an actual digital thermostat and it never worked right. This onworks better.
