The pan is really nice. My angel food cake was delicious, though it was a little moist and dense, but I don't think it was the pan's fault. The recipe said if you use a dark non-stick pan then cook at a lower temperature. I ended up cooking it 10 minutes longer than the directions called for just to get it done. Next time around I will just bake at the higher temp. The pan is nonstick but the cake was stuck. That is why angel food cakes are so lovely, they stick to the pan and rise. I really wouldn't want it any other way. In the olden days, we used to use a metal cake knife to cut it away from the side of the pan. The bottom of the pan with tube was usually a separate piece and then we had to cut the cake away from that. With this pan, I used a thin flat silicone spatula to separate the cake from the side and tube side. I used a regular sized silicone turner to dig under the bottom all the way around and then it released. That didn't warp the cake or tear it apart. It ended up quite beautiful. The pan was scratch-free and washed up nicely.
