As soon as I saw this in the store I was impressed! Purchased at a great price before Christmas 2019 for my 3 year old and he loved it! We played with it together at first and without using the cards, figured out how to control it. One example is starting the lady bug at box labeled 1 and having my child code it to move to a letter. It has a great feature that the lady bug will turn off automatically to save battery, but the time is very little and you have to manually turn the switch off and back on each time. My oldest age 7.5 also loves playing with it and it's great for boys and girls! You can never go wrong with a remote control toy, and yes, keep extra batteries on hand.
