'Purpurea Plena Elegans' is a vigorous, deciduous climber. Distinctive very double, dusky-purple flowers to 5cm in width, paler in centre. Flowers mid summer to early autumn. Clematis Purpurea Plena Elegans boasts 3-4 inch double flowers in shades of mauve pink to red. Blooming from July through October, Purpurea Plena Elegans is a very free flowering variety that blooms profusely throughout the season, making quite an impact.
