Pedestal Fabrication

I like this model and size. It looks good. The reason I could not give it a higher rating is due to the manufacturing quality of the pedestal. The chairs and top were fine except a little finish chipping. This was no big deal. The pedestal though had: 1. Additional enlargement holes were drilled next to the original slotted holes in the top and bottom framework. This was done after the finish process. Why, I do not know. I needed larger washers due to the larger slot (during assembly the supplied washers would fall through the slot). 2. One fiberglass panel was warped and had a crack in it. It should have been rejected. 3. A nonmatching coating was applied in many places. It looks really bad! 4. The pedestal panels (4 total) did not mate to each other evenly. There were areas with a 3/8” offset. This was far from flush. These problems should have been resolved early in production. I almost gave it a 3 star rating due to the pedestal quality. Once assembled focus is on the top and chairs which are good and the pedestal problems are overlooked.
