Microwave Oven: Cook only one at at time. 1. Place pot pie on microwave-safe plate; slit top crust. 2. Microwave on high. 1100 watt oven or more. 4 to 5 minutes. Do not cook in microwave ovens below 1100 watts as pot pie may not cook thoroughly. Conventional oven preparation is recommended. 3. Let stand 3 minutes in microwave to complete cooking. Handle carefully; it's hot! 4. Check that food is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. Crust is golden brown and steam rises from filling. Conventional Oven: Do not prepare in toaster oven. 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place pot pie on baking sheet; slit top crust. 2. Bake in oven 32 to 34 minutes. Remove carefully; it's hot! it's hot! 3. Let stand 5 minutes to complete cooking. 4. Check that food is cooked thoroughly. Internal temperature needs to reach 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer in several spots. Crust is golden brown and steam rises from filling. Keep frozen.

Banquet Pot Pie
Call me crazy, but there is just something about a basic frozen pot pie that makes my belly smile. Call it nostalgia, because it takes me back to my childhood. The meat is what you'd expect from a one dollar serving of food but the real star of the show is the crust and gravy anyway. I find them much easier to prepare these days than when we had to heat them in the oven. I appreciate the fact we can make them in the microwave for a fraction of the time and frankly the cost but not lose the browning of the crispy crust. Get you one.

The Calling of the Chicken Pot Pie
A glorious bit of nostalgia from days long passed. The chicken pot pie... such a blast... Through all the years, it lasts. It is forever in callng to me to eat more... Anyway, I eat the crust these days. It's pretty good, but still better to mash them in to the middle, usually just from Banquet. Anyone who doesn't like these probably just can't have chicken.

I absolutely love Banquet Chicken Pot Pies. I've been eating those for YEARS! :) They can be a lil on the small size but such a great price and tastes so good! They are about $1 at Walmart. They have lil carrots and peas, and the crust is wonderful. I wish they were a bit bigger, but for $1, you can bake 2 of them :)
