The top part of the hook is large enough to hook over a decent size branch or in my case, 2 branches. It's also long enough that the bird feeder isn't too close to the tree/ branches. It hooks on perfectly to the top of the bird feeder. It's nice that 3 hooks come in the pack. The hooks can hold 10bs of weight with bird feeders or wind chimes. They seem pretty heavy duty and are supposed to be rust resistant.

Great for a variety of things
I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I love that it came with three hooks. I have a lot of birds around the house so I hung a bird feeder on one of the hooks. I will also use one of the hooks to hang my plant so not so many critters get to my plant. It holds up to 10 pounds which is great.
