CIVIVI Praxis

The CIVIVI Praxis replaces my mini Praxis (which my daughter loved and took with her). Both are fantastic knives and I would rate them as 2 of the best EDC knives under $50. The praxis is a large knife, but light with a simple style that perfectly and comfortably holds a great blade. Super sharp out of the box. It took a little getting used to a familiar shape in a larger size but it's definitely in my 3 blade EDC rotation for a long time. Opening is smooth and quick with strong lock. The blade geometry is great for slicing and meat prep including game and fish

Civivi Praxis — A Real Hand-Filler

If you've got large hands like I do, you know the struggle of finding a folder that doesn't feel like a toothpick. I've been running the Civivi Praxis lately, and it's a beast in all the right ways. Fit and Feel This is a full-sized knife. The handle shape and the deep finger choil mean it actually locks into your palm. It feels secure and substantial, not like something that's going to slip when you're actually putting it to work. The Build Blade Stock: The first thing I noticed was the thickness. It's got a great, beefy spine that gives you a lot of confidence. It's not just for slicing tape; it feels like it can handle some actual abuse. Quality: For the price, the fit and finish are top-tier. Everything is lined up perfectly and feels rock solid. Praxis vs. Mini Praxis I keep the Mini Praxis around too, and the comparison is interesting: The Size: The Mini is much lighter and easier to carry in thin pockets. The Action: Surprisingly, even though the Mini is smaller, the folding mechanism is much easier and smoother than the full-sized version. If you like a knife that flickers open with zero effort, the Mini wins there. Bottom Line: I grab the full-size Praxis when I want a "real" knife that feels like a heavy-duty tool. It's a workhorse that actually fits a big hand. If you want something lighter with a faster, easier action, go for the Mini.

I already owned the Praxis Mini and was impressed with it. So I knew it was a good idea to upgrade to it's big brother. The Praxis feels good in the hand. The G10 handle is comfortable. The blade flipper action is very smooth. Straight out of the box it is exceptionally sharp. Shaved hair off my arm easily. Civivi thinks beyond the knife itself by including a cleaning cloth and a nice zippered case with the Civivi name on it. I think every Civivi knife I have has included these extras. Civivi is a brand I have enjoyed for a while now. I definitely recommend the Praxis (And it's little brother the Praxis Mini.)
