Chill-Its 150-13171 5171 48 qt. Industrial Hard Sided Cooler - Orange & Grey

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we all know that this year has been a challenge. Once I finally got my hands on this cooler, the opportunities to test it have been limited. Now that we are opening up a bit more, I was able to put it through some challenges. First, out of the box, my kids were checking it out and commenting how cool it was. I happened to mention that it could hold up to 300 pounds, so of course they all decided to stand on it to see if it was true. (It held) I have used this cooler to hold waters for K9 team members, and it does the job, either sitting in the hot car, in the sun, or in the shade. Obviously the ice lasts longer in the shade, where I can get to the 30 hours of cooling, as long as I don't drain the water. Otherwise I get a solid 24 hours of ice cold refreshing. I also used this on the family road trip, where we placed frozen food in it for transport, and it remained frozen for the 6 hour trip without adding ice. Then we converted it to holding some adult beverages, and once again, it shined. The bottle opener is a real perk for the extracurricular activities. I also really liked the extra dry container in the cooler, which is amazing for keeping stuff cold, yet dry. Some things I wish it had include wheels on one end for easy mobility, and maybe a way to raise the cooler off of the ground for airflow to help keep it cool. Overall, I like this cooler a lot. I like the big lid, and the quality construction of it, and the solid features, like the bottle opener, drain with attached cap, and the dry storage bin.It is comparable to the major names, and as good, at least in my opinion. You can't go wrong with this cooler. I give this cooler a solid 5 stars. It meets and/or exceeds all of its features, at least up to this point.
