Chicken Soup for the Soul - cat food
I received the Chicken Soup for the Soul Salmon & Legumes Recipe. I gave this to my three cats, which are of varying ages. They all ate every bite of it. On the front of the bag, it states that this food is for "all stages of life". The actual food was in a bit smaller pieces that other cat foods. And, it had a smell of salmon to it. The bag says that the food is grain free, no by-product meals, no wheat, corn or soy, and no artificial colors, preservatives, or flavors. The top of the bag had a built in velcro type sealer to use after you opened it. It is made in the USA. On the back of the bag, it states, for every bag sold, a portion goes to feed shelter pets. Good stuff for all cats.

Honestly my cat loves this food! She is a very picky eater and I cannot get her to eat the same cat food consistently. The ingredients are super healthy for her. The bag is a resealable bag so it stays fresher longer. I would definitely recommend this cat food!
My cats love it!
Chicken Soup for the Soul Salmon & Legumes Recipe is delicious according to my cats. They were excited to try it immediately. My cats are young adults, and they eat several times a day. This formula claims to be for all life stages. Salmon is the #1 ingredient, followed by menhaden fish meal (clean, dried, ground tissue of the small, marine fish), peas, lentils, pea protein, faba beans, etc. Crude protein is 32.0% This product is made in the USA with domestic and imported ingredients. There are no by-product meals, no wheat, corn or soy, and no artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Overall, I think the ingredients are good for my cats, but menhaden fish meal might be less sustainable than I would like. That is really the only negative I could find. I absolutely love the bag. It has Velcro like plastic strips with tiny teeth that easily and completely seal the bag after each use. This keeps the product fresh. My cats have not had any problems adjusting to their new favorite kibble. No vomiting, diarrhea or dislike of this product. I am happy knowing that Chicken Soup for the Soul has a fill a bowl, feed a soul program where a portion of every one of their pet food products purchased goes to feed shelter pets with the promise to feed more than a million pets in need annually. That is a wonderful commitment from this company.
