Perfect polisher for a beginner

Purchased this polisher a few weeks ago after going back and forth between this and the PC kit. I was told both machines were nice but the Torq had less vibration and was more robust feeling with power to get the job done, albeit new to the marketplace. The 501X kit added all the necessary tools to accomplish my goals, so it made it a no brainer. I started on my girlfriends new to us 2002 Honda Accord EX that's been an Arizona car all it's life and silver to boot. The results were on par with what I expected. Hand washed and clay barred, I started with V32 on the Orange pad to cut the sun fade and car wash scratches, then moved to 38 on the white pad where I really saw the difference. That final step V38 polish is really the stage where you see if it's making a difference. I finished with JetSeal and then a double coat of wax. Being a light silver car, it wasn't the overwhelming difference of before and after that you typically see on a darker car but I could absolutely say it worked wonders on the 13 year old paint. Smooth and glossy was an understatement. I was very happy with the results as was she. I was also pleased to find out that with some 800 grit wet/ 2000 grit wet sanding and then polished with V34, then V38, her hazed headlights came back to life and are much brighter and safer at night! Thanks again!

Ease of use

Used this for my brand new 2016 370z w/c I acquired july 2016. I started of w/a medium clay bar because of the roughness due to shipping from japan then proceded w/ jet seal & finish it off w/ carnuba wax w/ sealant. Used the torque 10fx w/ the red foam pad for applying jet seal then the black foam pad for applying the carnuba wax w/ sealant, then a microfiber towel to buff it. The torq 10fx work great and I ended up buying also the torq 22d for future use. Everything i use was chemical guys product a bit expensive but the results were impressive.
