Downhill support without toe strangulation!

I've been a Chaco believer for 10+ years now (about how long my first pair lasted!) and was hesitant with this new style. For reference, I owned the Z/X2 (double strap w/ toe strap) for 10 years. Loved them and when they fell into disrepair, Chaco honored their lifetime warranty. These were what I replaced them with. And BOY am I in love further more! I knew I wanted the support of the toe strap but didn't want my toes to get suffocated as they tended to. So, with this new style, they've added an extra strap across the top of your foot. It provides the support when you're walking downhill but doesn't strangle your big toe. I really love these and definitely think they are a great addition to the Chaco family! Looking forward to seeing these become a new staple!

New FAVORITE Chaco sandal!!!!

I have complicated feet. Short and splayed toes, on the wide-side of a Medium width, high arches, high in-step, surgery on the 2nd toe left it non-flexible and droops and the last 2 toes are hammered. That being said, CHACOS sandals are the ONLY shoe that I can get my right foot into and allow me to function the basics such as walking 6 miles/day! I have fallen in love with the LUVseat technology as the droopy toe rubs on the footbed but doesn't leave it with blisters and it simply feels like I am walking on cush. Additionally, all the straps adjust to accommodate my high in-steps and the wide toebox fits my splayed toes perfectly! Oh and the Tiger Lilly color is SPECTACULAR!!! Cannot say enough about this shoe!!! (Disclaimer: Covid has not allowed a nice pedicure).

Got these after my puppy decided my previous pair would be better suited as a chew toy. Turns out I love these way more. The extra band provides the extra support I was worried I'd lose by moving away from the toe loop without the constant tightening around my big toe.
