Material is soft and durable. Lined on the inside with soft warm material. Not like some others that are lined with plastic or cheap nylon. Only complaint is the pillow insert is not as fluffy or full as it should be. However, still much better than the thin flimsy pad that came with a previous purchase. Cats wouldn't even use it. They love this Windracing cat cave bed.

When the young cat would come by, he began taking over my 15-year-old cats' beds. The young cat loved the new bed...but so did one of the older cats!!!
