Epson WF-7620 What a surprise!

I use many printers, depending on the location I am in on a given day, including Epson printers. However, this WF-7620 Is remarkable in the quality and clarity of the printing. It looks even better than the colour laser printer I use on a daily basis. That machine's days may now be numbered. This is a high quality machine for a very reasonable price. Definitely well worth the investment. I would recommend it to anyone. D.B. Ontario Canada.

A Change For Me.

I have used HP products for many years. Three months ago my print head on my HP 8500 needed replacing but I need to print off some work right away and could not wait for another print head to arrive. So I decided to purchase the Work Force 7620. It was bought at a good price and it had features different from the HP product I was using. The paper tray on the HP was always sticking out of the printer and near this time, it feel onto the floor and broke the end of the tray off. The 7620 has a tray that retract back into the machine when not in use. The HP always took several minutes to prepare itself for use, where as the 7620 is ready in approximately 5 to 10 seconds. I did have the feature to print on both sides of the paper with the HP, but what surprised me was , with the Epson 7620 I could do this, and also scan to fax both sides of a sheet of paper and also scan to copy both sides of a sheet of paper. The print quality appears to be good, though I have not printed any photos as of yet. The ability to print much larger work was a nice feature and the silent mode was also well received. Over all I have no compalints with the Work Force 7620 and it is now my primary printer and the HP is the backup printer.

So Far So Good!

I've had the printer for a couple of days now. I purchased it mainly because it can scan larger 11" x 17" documents as well as scan double sided. I use Adobe Acrobat X to create pdf's from my scans. After reading other reviews I was a little concerned but now see that some of the really really negative reviews were based on defective units or users that may not have had enough experience to play with some of the advanced options. This printer is a workhorse. It's big and heavy, but it has to be! How else are you going to pack 11" x 17" capability into a body? The quality is definitely there especially if you use proper paper on the proper settings. Printing on high quality can be a little (or a lot slow) but what do you expect for the cost? If you want to spend $1,000+ on a half-decent laser that puts out the same quality to save a few minutes - be my guest. Otherwise, this printer gets TWO THUMBS UP from me. Cheers!
