Just installing it wasn't enough, had to tell my pc to initialize it. When it comes to solid state storage, you can't beat Samsung. The Pro 990 M.2 NVMe is one of the fastest, and more importantly, reliable drives you can get. The integrated heatsink model is perfect and even has a RGB LED for cases with a window. I use a 1TB for my OS drive and a 2TB for storage. Upgrade your system!

I bought this to replace to Samsung 970 Pro 512GM drives in RAID0 set up. It's at least as fast as that old set up. I have zero complaints. $1/GB is a fantastic price. It's not the absolute fastest drive on the consumer market, but I don't know how you'd know the difference spending another $60-$70 for the speed king.
