Don't spend hours making an apple pie from scratch
I've baked a lot of pies in my 70 years. I was astounded at just how good this frozen apple pie turned out to be. It was easy to bake and the price is outstanding given the end product and lack of labor involved! The pie crust was tasty and crisp and the filling, not overly sweet (the way I like it), was surprising full of large chunks of apples. The ratio of apple chunks to sauce was perfect IMHO. I do wish the filling had more warm spice but that's really my only criticism of this pie. When I bake the next one, I'll protect the edges of the crust for the first 30 minutes with some foil as my first bake yielded edges which were almost too dark. I wholeheartedly recommend this apple pie and would not hesitate to serve it to guests. I might be able to prepare a slightly better pie from scratch but why bother when Marie Callender has come up with this beauty at a truly reasonable price point.

There's nothing I don't like about this pie!! I love this pie!! I could eat a whole pie in a week.. I love these pies, Apple!! they're just good that's all I can say!! Especially vanilla ice cream on top!! My father used to put cheese on his. That's because back in his day they didn't have any ice cream. lol I do recommend these pies Marie callender!
