Black%26Decker has been around for a long time. This is my 4th Carpet Sweeper. This one has been updated so that you put the handle together. No problem doing that because a 5 year old could figure it out. Handle is two parts, one piece goes into the other and then you place it into the sweeper. The Sweeper is made to pick up kitty liter and small crumbs. It is really not for carpets, in my opinion, but; for hard floors. It will work on a small throw rug.

A nice lightweight sweeper type for a quick touch up, really easy to put together. What I liked was the versatile of by going sideways to get in narrow openings. It picks good not as strong as my regular sweeper, but pleasantly surprised when I could see what the item picked up. So easy to empty into my Kitchen Trash can. No spills! Great Product: battery charger easy to use and charged up during when I received it ready to use in 12 hours.
