Purina Tidy Cats Free and Clean LightWeight Cat Litter, Unscented, 17 lb Pail

I really like the lightweight litter. I have 6 cats in my home (temporally) %26 between 2 litter boxes I go through a lot of litter. By the time I clean each box daily, sometimes twice, my garbage weighs a ton. I think the lightweight is as effective as the regular %26 the kitties don't seem to mind.

I am a dog person and my family was adopted by a stray kitten back in October. As a late in life cat owner I have been disgusted by the litter box experience and very quickly invested in an automatic litter box. I tried three other litters before tidy cat and was beyond disappointed by the smell. It was unbearable and made my entire house stink even though his automatic litter box is kept in our garage. This litter was my last ditch effort to help keep the cat as a garage cat (he comes inside and goes outside when supervised ). He initially boycotted the litter because it was the 4th litter change I had made on him in his short little life. I'm happy to report that he's back to using the box and so far there is zero smell. I'm so relieved to have my house smelling normal again. So after my “extensive” market research you can take it from me that tidy cat is the winner. If you're wondering, I tried Dr Elsey's (cat liked it but it was too smelly) , clumping pretty litter (the worst), and another litter I bought at the DG right after I became responsible for him and I don't remember what it was because it was so short lived.
