Got the wrong adapter. Doesn't match pic

I like HP. they have great products that have NEVER failed me. but when I ordered this adapter, it was mostly because of the form factor, it's small. but what i got was an adapter twice the size. it was the adapter I avoided and didn't want because it's larger. i mean how do you tell the vendor beforehand that I want the one I ordered if you don't know they're going to send the exact model you didn't want?
