The Uplift Technologies Upeasy power seat has controls on both sides and features easy-to-use ergonomic handles. It has a removable cover for easy cleaning simply remove it and wash it with your laundry. The cushion is made of easy-to-clean polyurethane and can also be wiped clean with a washcloth. Up Easy Lift Cushion
I have Muscular Dystrophy, and have been buying aids to get out of regular height furniture for the past 10 years. It works fine in any chair with arms, but, alot depends on the height of the chair, and if you have strength to get yourself up, from the height the lift gives you. I have one at the office, and it works fine in my office chair, but it had to be raised to it's maximum height. The only bad thing is that it tips you forward, and if you need to get your knees close to straight in order to stand up, then it is of no help.
