Just depends

I wanted to try the subtle smell of sandalwood for an aftershave. This does not smell like the sandalwood that I remember smelling as a kid. It does have a woodsy smell which is very mild. The scent can only be smelled if you are very close to the person which is good. It lasts for about two hours at the most. It does not have the distinctive sting of an aftershave if that is what one likes. But it does have a nice pleasant understated scent which is nice. But not sandalwood.
