Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens - International Version

This is my new favorite Prime lens for portraits and street photography! I should have gotten this a long time ago. Its wide open aperture at f1.8 is so bright and crystal clear with very shallow depth of field and excellent bokeh. Im very surprised by how nicely built it is and full of functionality at such a good price. It's a steal! It has auto-focus and a switch to use the focus ring for manual focus or to control some camera functions. For videography, I like the STM feature for its so quiet and fast to acquire focus on moving subjects. I do have one thing that I wish this lens would have had also, and thats IS (image stabilization). This would have been the perfect lens for me if it was available. That's the only down side to this particular lens. That's why Im rating it at 4-stars. Overall, for the features and the price and the quality of pictures that you get from this lens. I would highly recommend this for novice and professional photographers on a budget.

I really like this lens! I'm using it with my Canon R8 and it's great for creating that nice blurry background. Photos come out sharp and it's perfect for portraits. It's small and lightweight, so easy to carry around. The autofocus is a bit noisy and it doesn't come with extras like a lens hood, but for the price, it's totally worth it. Definitely recommend!
