It was the same price as an Epson scroll scanner I bought a few years back, but the images on the Epson showed up on the computer slanted slightly. This was due to unequal drag on the roller. The Canon is face down, and all the images were exactly upright, with no ****.

The CanoScan Lide 400 scanner is a great value (money-wise) as well as delivering a quality and clear result every single time. This scanner has the ability to option multiple pages; gives clear and concise prompts on how to do so. There are no codes to input or complicated instructions; simply load the scans facing down with the top of the scan toward the front of the scanner instead of the back of the scanner. Easy-peasy. Thanks for the easiest scanner I have ever encountered.

i really like this scanner

I purchased this photo scanner about 6 weeks ago. Cons: Overall I have no issues with it other than I wish it had a feature to color correct old faded photos. Perhaps its too much to expect considering the low cost of this device. Pros: Easy to install. Easy to use. I can fit up to 6 pictures depending on the size of each photo. It separates the photos, ready to name and move to the desired folder. Light weight and compact. No electrical connection required.
