Great invention
I had a total knee replacement and using a cane to walk. I was so tired of having to find a place to hang the cane and having it fall. I don't know if it actually reduces the impact but the cane now stands up and can be put anywhere. I don't have to find a place to hang it on : it can be right next to my chair, bed or in the kitchen. All canes should come with this.

Great Product
The Able Tripod cane tip is very effective at allowing my husband's cane to stand upright by itself. There seem to be many occasions when he needs to let go of the cane for just a few seconds: putting on or taking off his coat, using both hands on the arms of a chair to stand up, even while he's seated someplace where there is no place to lean the cane. With this product he can keep the cane nearby and ready. This is the second one he has used - the first one wore out after about 4 years. It was originally recommended by his physical therapist. We tried other products that promised to hold a cane upright but they were not nearly as good. Also, the price on this one was very reasonable compared to other brands
