These bottles are the perfect solution for storing water or energy drink in a bottle and tossing it in a gear bag/pack, the dropping it into your water bottle cage for a ride. If you are careful to snug down the lid and close the lid lever, no leaks! The quality is great and the price is reasonable. It can be a little noisy when the air sucks back into the bottle after a drink. Just squirting the water into your mouth seems to reduce the noise.

We are a family of four who go biking casually on the weekends. We were looking for bottles that would be easy for all of us (including 9 year old twins) to get in and out of the cages and easy to open and close and drink from. We got that. The bottles fit in the cages nicely. With a little practice all of us figured out how hard we needed to squeeze in order to get just the right amount of water to come out (but it was fun and hilarious to watch the testing). The biggest complaint I have is that it's really hard to move the lever back and forth between the open and closed position on the lid. The kids can't do it at all and I find it frustrating. There is no way I'd be able to open it while it's in the cage while I'm riding. My husband rightly pointed out that this is a very small complaint indeed because there is really no need to keep the lid in the closed position. The bottle does not leak when it's in the open position and only dispenses water when you squeeze it. I like that the parts of the lid come apart for cleaning. It makes me feel like I can really get the bottle clean and that there isn't any mold lurking in it anywhere. I don't know whether this bottle meets the requirements for hardcore biking enthusiasts but for weekend riders like us it works really well and I recommend it.
