This knife set is by FAR the best set I've ever owned! You can just see and feel the quality of these knifes as soon as you hold them. I love that the blade and handle are one solid unit and I don't ever have to worry about them becoming loose or the handle coming unattached. Blades are sharp and slice with ease. The Self-sharpening holder is pure genius! After owning a knife set with one built in, I'd never go back. The one knife I was a little skeptical on at first was the 6" serrated knife, I wasn't really sure how much I'd really use it (as I already have a big bread knife). Then after the first time I used it to slice a loaf of bread I immediately gave my old knife away! It also cuts through a tomato beautifully. The one and only problem I have with this knife set has nothing to do with the knifes but with the knife block. It is a minor problem but the spot for the scissors and large serrated knife could've been made better. Since there is no sharpener spot for these (understandably) they don't slide into their wood spots smoothly like I think they should. I've had it for 2 months and the knife holder is already pretty dinged up and I think I'll eventually have to touch it up with gray stain. Other than that I absolutely love this set and would recommend it to anyone! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
