Caldwell's Lead Sled Solo Shooting Rest features a heavy-duty steel construction that provides a stable and solid shooting platform. Its unique offset frame is designed to accommodate all rifles including detachable magazine rifles as well as lever actions guns. The front support is height adjustable has a durable rubberized coating that will not scratch or mar your gun. It has an integrated weight tray that will hold a single 25-pound bag of shots. The combination of the weight and a heavy-duty spring between the frame members all but eliminates recoil on non-magnum calibers and greatly reduces recoil on all calibers. A welded steel brace covered with a durable rubber boot secures the butt of the gun while protecting it from abrasions. Included is an integrated strap into the front support that can be used to easily secure your rifle onto the rest. 661120017776 60827.

Great rest for AR platform rifles.

This is a great rest for AR platform rifles, Caldwell designed it with the front and rear rest points offset from the main beam to clear the pistol grip and magazine. It works very well for the .308 platform rifles. Make sure to get the Caldwell Lead Sled weight bag and a bag of lead shot for weighting it down. 25 pounds of weight does a great job of taming the recoil from the .308 rifles. I am a left handed shooter and found the rest very east to use, even though I was apprehensive at first glance.
