Assembly of this platform ladder involves attaching the top tray with two provided fasteners. This is a very high quality step ladder that is MUCH SAFER to use than a traditional step ladder because of the platform design. All aluminum construction makes it lighter and the built in locking carry handle mechanism makes it easy to carry because the sections cannot separate. Just buy it!
