This is so creamy you only need a small amount. It feels good, smells nice. Lasts a decent amount of time. I love the vanilla and clove but I will be trying the wildrose and berry!

I study compounding and my father and grandfather used to make burn ointments and other skin products from bees wax. It is not just the ingredients but how they are combined and the "extras" that are in small quantities so not listed as a major active ingredient - but are very very important or it doesn't work as great as this. I chose the little "pot" of "lip butter" - and I use a Q-tip so I do not introduce any bacteria or viral particles - from my fingers - to the pot. A stick of anything is different from this - and a stick can trap in the wax or balm - any particles that are sticking to your lips. Think of your home air filter that is to be changed every three months - and that when you go outside - there is no air filter. Look at the pollution and viral concerns and pollen allergens listed in the newspaper and their "counts". I think if you have herpes sores (I do not) - of course see your doctor as there is a topical for that - but in between - I am guessing this is best choice too.
