I soaked them for a couple days until they split open and buried them about an inch deep. Covered with some good bedding soil and watered lightly every morning. After about 3 days, they started to pop up and about a week later, I have two very large leaves. Exciting.

Evening Flowers to Hide Baby Birds

Lovely large seeds. Soaked overnight and had a quick germination as in two days. Have a trellis bed at the end of a fence near the road and meters. Moon flowers bloom in the evening and make an inviting vine that trails along the ground and upwards if it can. A set of sparrows nesting in an old flag pole next to the fence decided their baby birds needed a place to fly to, since the kitties in the neighborhood love to lie around my front yard. So, to give a chance, put the trellis and plant the moon flowers for the baby birds' first flight. Heart shaped leaves and the plants are up. A couple of weeks should begin covering the trellis.
