Blue Lake 274 is a classic annual vegetable garden bean. Heirloom plants produce plump 5-6" pods over a long season. Fiber-free beans are delicious stir-fried, steamed or sautéed. Early-yielding vegetable plants require no support. Best to sow direct after the last frost. This variety will grow to a mature height of 20 inches with a mature spread of 10 inches. It takes 58 days to mature for harvest. Blue Lake 274 grows best in full sun of six plus hours a day. The growing zones will be 1-11.
