Loss of confidence

Right out of the reel handle appeared slightly bent. I realized this was not the handle but the nut to tighten the handle was cross threaded. removed the locking bolt and the nut to find metal shaving from the net threads. I rethreaded the retaining nut and it appears to ok for now... there is quite a bit of slack in the gears... I like the reel but I have lost confidence in it before even hitting the water. the last think I want is to hook a decent fish and have the reel fail. I have two other Sougayilang reels and they work fine. I hope this isnt an indication of things to come for this particular model.
